Daikin Europe N.V. acquires Dutch distributor Itho Airconditioning B.V.
Itho Airconditioning B.V., with headquarters in Schiedam, has been a Daikin distributor since 1967 and realised sales of 23.114 k€ in 2006. The deal, a 100% takeover of shares, comes into force 1 April 2007 and the new name of the company will be Daikin Airconditioning Netherlands B.V..
Expanded market presence
The acquisition puts Daikin Europe N.V. in a position to influence the future direction of the company and determine market strategies. The direct expansion market, the traditional mainstay of Itho Airconditioning B.V., will continue to be developed, as will new markets in applied business and heating.
Increased support and development opportunities for staff
The 43 employees of Itho Airconditioning B.V. will be able to take advantage of increased support from Daikin Europe N.V. and enjoy the personal growth opportunities attached to belonging to an international organisation. Christophe Verplanken will be Managing Director of Daikin Airconditioning Netherlands B.V. and he will be supported by General Manager Henk Kranenberg.
